The Medway Dog Park, officially known as the Henry Garnsey Canine Recreation Area, is located between Village Street and Cottage Street in Medway. See a map, here.
This is the only public place in the Town of Medway where owners can let their dog roam free, off leash, in a safe, completely fenced-in area. The dogs and their owners are a happy community, and happy to welcome newcomers. The non-profit group, the Friends of Medway Dog Park, takes on many of the responsibilities and duties associated with running this park. Donations to the Friends of Medway Dog Park help us to keep the park a clean and useful place for all.
In order to take advantage of this wonderful resource however, you must first get a (free) dog park license; use this PDF application to apply. Please note, you can fill out this application in your computer, which will open it in Adobe Acrobat Reader or full Acrobat, whichever program you have; then print it out, initial and sign where indicated, and return to the Animal Control Officer (address on the application). You MUST include a stamped, self-addressed envelope with your application, or your tag will NOT be sent to you.
